The Fab Shop is pleased to now offer an SBC door car header off the shelf. Weʼve been working for years with leading engine builders and Pro-Stock racers from Australia (the hot bed of small block development) to come up with a header that fits the vast majority of tube chassis/strut cars and makes maximum power. Weʼve done that and more. While looking at all the different SBC cylinder heads out there we were able to lay different flange designs on top of each other on our CAD program we use to laser cut all of our flanges. By making minor changes here and there, weʼve designed a flange that fits the majority of popular racing heads without any tube overlap of the exhaust ports. These include Stahl pattern, Spread-Port Brodix, 18 deg. GM, 15 deg. All Pro and others. These new flanges also offer plenty of clearance for down injector nozzles. This is a BIG deal especially for the racer who perhaps has a set of 23 deg. heads but is thinking of upgrading to a pair of 18 deg. heads. With these new headers you only need to buy one set. Install them on your current heads and then bolt them to the new heads whenever youʼre ready. The 2 - 2 1/8” tube layout was done to clear the steering shaft, maintain maximum turning radius and point the collectors at the collector box on virtually all popular tube/ strut cars. But were happy to say that clearance and power arenʼt the only features. This is a header beautiful enough to mount on any dragster too. |
