68 Nova Custom HeadersIn addition to our premium fixture-built headers we also offer custom header fabrication. We have 20+ years experience building custom door car headers. The fit, service-ability, and horsepower of our custom headers are second to none. Our shop builds custom headers for several Fast Street Car Series and Pulling organizations nationally. We also offer more flange options for competition cylinder heads than any other header manufacturer.

This is a set of headers we built for a 68' Nova OSCA Drag Car. It is powered by a 600 cid Nitrous Injected Big Chief Chevy and uses a Stock front clip.  Headers are 2 1/2" diameter primary tubes and a 5” collector. These headers clear the rack and pinion, steering column, starter, and oil pan.

On this 63' Impala SS we built the entire exhaust system and headers on the car. The headers go on and off without moving the engine in any direction. The 430 cid Steve Morris built Small Block Chevy engine is using Fab Shop custom built 1 7/8" x 2" primary tube and 3 1/2" collector headers. The exhaust system protrudes through openings carefully cut into the stock X-Frame. The Exhaust system was built with 3" diameter mandrel bent tubing.

The Fab Shop is centrally located just outside Indianapolis, Indiana. We offer quick turn-around time on our custom headers.

Pulling Headers

Ford 460 Upright Pulling HeadersThese are our 460 Ford Upright Professional Pulling Headers. This particular set is constructed of 2 3/8" x 2 1/2" step standard 3" CLR bend with a 4 1/2" collector. Mild steel. 6" CLR bends are available on all of our Upright Headers. Price varies corresponding with tube diameter.

This is our RDI Hemi Ford Upright Professional pulling Header. This particular set is constructed of 2 1/2" standard 3" CLR bends with a 4 1/2" collector. Mild steel 6" CLR bends are available on all of our Upright Headers. Price varies corresponding with tube diameter.



Pulling Truck "Shock Treatment" Downswept Truck Pulling Headers Downswept Truck Pulling Header

This is a set of our Competition Custom Downswept Truck Pulling Headers. This particular set was constructed with our sweeping 6" CLR bends. Mild steel 2 1/4" x 2 3/8" step primary tubes. The Collectors on this set are special 2 3/8" slip-on merge spike with a 4" outlet.


Custom Stainless Steel LS1 pulling headers we built for a local OEM Manufacturer. Check out the long collector extension. The extension was built to match up with existing dyno cell equipment. So far we have built two sets of these.

Header Flanges

New Style Cadillac Header FlangeCadillac Square Over Round. The cool thing about our Cadillac Flanges is they eliminate the difficult and time consuming task of making a round tube square while maintaining a diameter larger than the exhaust port.

These work like this: Build your headers as if you were working with a round tube flange. When ready to install the tube into the flange weld the outside radiused portion of the flange to the tube. Then turn the welded header over using two different size ball peen hammers, hammer the corners of the tube into the corners of the flange and continue welding on the outside. We have built several sets of headers using this flange and they are life savers.
